The recipe that introduced me to the concept of natural beauty recipes: The Lemon & Egg White Face Mask

There are only 2 ingredients:

• 1/2 a lemon
• 1 egg white

Directions: Beat the egg whites and gradually include the lemon juice. You’re supposed to achieve “stiff peaks,” but I always fail (and it still works). Regardless of how successful you are at achieving your peaks (Haha! I can’t help but titter at THAT innuendo) you can wear the mask for only a few minutes (15) or overnight.

 

Just rinse with warm water and you’re done! Egg whites have natural astringent properties, cleansing and tightening pores. Lemon juice works as an antibacterial and brightens skin.

Breaking Bad Skin Care Habits Can Be Difficult

But it’s SO WORTH IT!

I have an A-type personality, almost to the point of being OCD — but my creative nature makes me more ADD than anything — so in the face of blemishes, I once behaved like a heartless general in an all-out war.
